Wild About Wine: Occasion Matching

I reckon that the occasion can make the wine – It’s easy to be lush without being flush. Take for example the Champagne Breakfast. An ideal alternative to the bevvy in question at a fraction of its price – and alcohol – is Moscato D’Asti. Fittingly, it’s known in its Northern Italian homeland as a ‘brekky wine’. It’s lightly frizzy, tastes of sweet, crunchy green apples and has a citrus finish.
WIN! A bottle of moscato d’asti for your own champagne brunch!

The experience was actually a great way to spend an evening. I can think of about 30 people who, when split into teams and armed with ingredients such as prawns, eggplant and capsicum could create a whole lotta’ heavenly havoc (of the edible variety) and I would eagerly organise our own little “Mini Masterchef” with them.

Big City, Meet Small Town

I’d say it took me about 6 months to adjust to life in the country but I’m sure my friends and family
would tease that it was a lot longer! It was the little things that threw me, like not being able to
walk down the street to a cafe for a cup of coffee in the morning or being able to pick up some
takeaway dinner on your way home if you couldn’t be bothered cooking.

WIN! A dozen beef sausages and 2 T-bone steaks!
